Our Civitan Club

The Carleton Place & District Civitan Club was chartered on May 9, 1996 and has been actively providing services to Carleton Place & District residents ever since.

The Club currently has over 30 members.  We may be small in numbers but work together in unison and harmony to get the job done.  One of the nice features of our club that we take great pride in, is that we recognize fully that this is a Volunteer organization and as such you volunteer when and how often you can.  No one is expected to be there all of the time.  In this day and age, we all have commitments and responsibilities.  We recognize that these must come first.  So, volunteering is not 'voluntelling' and it does not have to be a full time commitment. Family comes first!

The Carleton Place & District Civitan Club normally meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month by Zoom (excluding July & August) at 7:00pm. Visitors are always welcome.  If you’d like to attend a ZOOM meeting, please send us an email or contact us by phone.

 Our Mission

“To build good citizenship by providing a volunteer organization of clubs dedicated to serving individual and community needs with an emphasis on helping people with developmental disabilities”

 Fellowship

Civitan is not all work and no play!  Fellowship is encouraged at all times.  The club has many social functions throughout the year.  Christmas parties, pot luck dinners, picnics, golf tournaments, family events and entertainment evenings are just a few of the ways we get together to enjoy ourselves.
